Meet your Judge

Jennifer has spent the last sixteen years improving the justice system in North Carolina.  She represented victims of the most serious crimes as an Assistant District Attorney. She then took her legal expertise to the General Assembly to work as a resource without regard to political party. As nonpartisan committee counsel, Jennifer earned trust, solved problems, and built bridges to the benefit of Victims' Rights, Juvenile Justice, and Veterans' Affairs. In 2022,

Gov. Cooper recognized Jennifer's commitment to service by appointing her to the Wake County bench. His decision has since been affirmed by Wake County voters twice.

A single mom, Jennifer is working to make North Carolina better for your family and hers. Raised to value service, she left college following the 9/11 attacks to enlist in the U.S. Army. She served honorably and honed the ability to work both hard and smart. While completing her Army Reserve requirements, she pursued a law degree and started a family. Following graduation, Jennifer moved to North Carolina to be near family and provide her sons the joy of having grandparents present for events big and small.

As a Judge, Jennifer has continued her mission to increase community confidence in our justice system. Her indepth knowledge of the law and proven political impartiality inspire trust. Courtesy and professionalism is not only appreciated, it also drives better outcomes.  An enthusiastic ambassador for the courthouse, Jennifer is pleased to promote court technology that can increase transparency and improve efficiency. Courthouse leaders must drive eCourts to be the tool we need it to be.  Together we can keep justice moving forward.

Jennifer wasn't
born in Apex but she got here as soon as she could.
